Keri of Energy

20 02 2009

Keri Hilson Photo from | kerihilsonmusic.comSo i heard this cool awesome song the other day while driving to the Uni (short for University – I know, i like to complicate stuff!) and rushed home afterwards to hear it online again. Yeah, it was so good. And i know when i hear a good tune, well, at least my music taste, is well, mine, so for me it is a very good tune of sound.

The song I’m talking about is titled “Energy” and is performed by a female singer, called Keri Hilson. You might of heard a song of her that did with magic-beat-creator (and i mean that in a good way!) Timbaland, titled “The Way I are”, back a couple of years ago…or maybe it was last year, anyway i don’t remember exactly the date.

And this year, or was it end of 2008 (don’t really remember again) ….wait wait wait (wow, that’s a triple repetitive word there), ok i found it, her debut album will be released March 24th 2009, and will be titled “In a Perfect World…” . So this song is still not released to general public, (so that is why i could not buy it yet….hmm). But is this a very nice song? Yes.

I already distinguished two great songs from her up-coming album, which are of course “Energy” and “Return the favor” (which again “Return the favor” is a collaboration with “the man” Timbaland).

And though this song is about love and confusion (again, i think) is as i said, for the third time, very very (what is it with you man, double repetitive now?) good song!

Do, listen to it |or| watch the Official music video clip from the link below in Addons section. You will not regret it.

Ok, later!

Transformers 2 | Retraction(s)

17 02 2009

Transformers 2 Trailer Screenshot | NewOh my God! The longer official teaser trailer for Transformers : Revenge of the fallen has been uploaded in the movie’s official website, and i need to apologize for some of my thoughts written down from my previous post blog Transformers 2 | Teaser Thoughts.

So, i truly feel really bad for saying some things that i thought was right, but instead they were wrong, so i will retract them and correct them as appropriate. I apologize, i was wrong.

So according to information from the one and only Empire Online website, they guys over there have broken down the new official teaser trailer of Transformers : Revenge of the fallen, and delivered a detailed description for every major scene depicted in the teaser. You can find the link to it from “Addons” section at the end of this post.

So here are my retractions:

1.| I said bad things about the cute gigantic robot with the two wheels, which is in fact Devastator, which is not a transformer, but rather 5 or more transformers (i.e constructions maybe) joined together (How cool is that?)

2.| I also said i liked the beast-like robot at the snow scene. That transformer is Ravage.

3.| I stated that Megatron was back, well most likely Megatron is not appearing in this sequel. (But you never know!)

All the information you need to know about this corrections i made and more, you will find them in the original article posted by Empire Online at the link from “Addons” section below.

Again, i apologize for jumping to conclusions. Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen will definitely rock, and that’s a fact!

Looks like “Revenge is coming” (Trailer’s closing title) for the Decepticons. Oh My God!

Dawn of War II | Its coming!

16 02 2009

Dawn of War II | Case ImageAt first i said ” What? the graphics are so not cool, I’m not checking this game out” and then i remember “Ha? Hey, now i know what, i saw the game’s graphics like a year ago, when it was at it’s first stages” and then i decided finally to check it out.

What was i thinking? “No way this game is so good” ( i said to myself) and i played the game-play video footage again, and again! “I’m so getting this when it comes out” (and now i’m going to stop writing my inner thoughts, cause it’s getting ridiculous).

So it is stated now, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, is the long awaited sequel from the first Dawn of War, when it was released in 2004, and don’t get this game confused with the franchise’s expansion packs like Dark Crusade, and SoulStorm.

This sequel only has 4 races in the game which are Space Marines, Orks, Eldar and the new faction Tyranids (which if  I’m not mistaken, they are blood-eating creatures). If you are interest in more information on the game-play and options one will have in this video game be sure to check out the wikipedia link ( Below at the Addons Section) and read more about it.

And anyhow (what? is that a word?) Dawn of War II is scheduled to be released in the US on the 19th of February 09, and on the February 20th, will start releasing in Europe and so forth.

I can’t stop obsessing about this game, and as i write (ouh, that’s a first one, you sure can mess up sentences) this blog post, I’m actually downloading the Multiplayer Demo version of it, through Steam (16% and downloading), and i really can’t wait to play it later on this evening.

So, let’s recap (let’s summarise), Dawn of War II coming on PC the 19th of February 09, and 20th in Europe and worldwide ( I think, i could be wrong you know), if you want to check the game, before purchasing and need to see, if it play’s on your PC or Laptop, such as myself, then don’t hesitate to grab a Demo from Steam  which is totally free by the way. And really I think the minimum requirements for playing it, are not so demanding.

(Update: Bummer, my Laptop is not able to play the game. Talking about 2 frames per second at low settings.) 17 Feb 09 0100h.

The only downside it’s that the size of the Multiplayer Demo from Steam is about 2.2Gb, so prepare for many hours of downloading (and no, I’m talking about my self and all the great owners of low bandwidth connections).

Final Fantasy XIII | Epic

15 02 2009

Final Fantasy XIII | Trailer ScreenshotDid any of you guys check the official Japanese website of the upcoming Square-Enix video game Final Fantasy XIII (13) ?

The interface is just so extreme and simple! But that was not what i was going to post here ( i always mention things not so cool! What?  It’s the other way around dude! )

Anyway FF XIII has been in the scene for a long time now, and still has not yet been released (on PS3 and XBOX 360) although Gamespot has it in TBA (To Be Anounced) 2009 games, so this means this year. (Lets hope eh!)  and they have released a new trailer with mixed in-game and FMV sequences, which really blew my mind! I can’t even imagine how epic this video game is going to be.

Matter of fact, i think this will be the only reason for me to go get a Playstation 3 or an Xbox 360 just to play this game. ( Oh, i forgot, i need an HD tv also, grr! ). Well i guess its time to start saving some money!

Be sure to check the official website, which kicks & rocks, and also info on the video game, from below in Addons section.

You F.E.A.R 2? | I Do!

14 02 2009

fear2Yesterday i finally got me a Demo of the released F.E.A.R 2 : Project Origin for the PC, and i was really anxious about seeing if my laptop could really run it.

I always fear that my Toshiba Satellite A200 with the Intel Dual Centrino running @ 1.86GHz, and with my 2Gigs of memory RAM, my GeForce 7300 Go 256MB Dedicated turbo-cached, all running on a Vista Premium Operating System, will let me down, when buying new games to play on, since i bought it last year and it has become slightly outdated for today’s standards “rigs”.

But again, F.E.A.R 2 was playable, and with blur effects, and medium video settings and stuff! (Of course on 800×600 Resolution – but that is just fine). Since my laptop could run Crysis, Assasin’s Creed, and all the way through games like C&C : Red Alert 3 and Fallout 3, i really had a small hope, that it could run this game. And indeed! (Thanks Nvidia).

So after a few video tests i got the game to run rather smoothly at an FPS average of 20, and i completed the Demo level of the game. (sigh!) Mind if i mention that i was scared out of my jeans? Oh man, the sound was creepy, and the evil spirits even scarier when they popped out in front of me. I mean i played the Demo level 4 times, and at the same locations, even though i knew what was going to happened, it gave me the chills every time.

I’m going to think twice before buying this game eventually, because i don’t want to have to take “toilet breaks” every 2 minutes (sigh! again).

All and all, this game is fantastic, it continues the story from the original F.E.A.R, Alma is back, a bit older and sexier (oh, I’m twisted) and to sum it up, the slow motion sequences are great, and the scary flashes even greater! Just dont ask me to compare it with the Original F.E.A.R, i get chills just by thinking about that.

Feel free to grab a Demo to test from the official F.E.A.R 2 website (Link below in Addons Section), and if you have spare time, feel welcome to download my 3 minute gameplay mixed video with my crazy shootings! (Again, located in Addons Section).

Got to go for today!

Transformers 2 | Teaser Thoughts

10 02 2009

Transformers Revenge of the faller Website ScreenshotWell, looks like Megatron is back! And also a really huge robot… with a single wheel for feet and another one on the back of his head. I mean really was that a part of the Transformer’s animated series or what? I don’t know the whole history of Transformers, but seriously if that giant robot at the end of the teaser trailer isn’t funny, then i don’t know what it is!

I’m going to give the movie the benefit of the doubt though, because i really liked the first movie, and i waited 5 months to get the 2 bonus special dvd pack. When i watched Transformers for the first time at the cinema, was one of the happiest days of my life, and i cant wait until this one releases in June!

I really love the teaser, the new transformers (and a lot that beast like transformer at the snow scene), but all that wonderful feelings i gained from watching the teaser, went away when i saw that huge robot at the end. If anybody knows any history behind that, please tell me about it, i would really liked to know the origins of it.

But i  mean come on, i get hyped when i see all the transforming CGI effects and the action, but i just cant take too seriously the movie, when that giant-motorbike-like transformer breaks through the bridge and Optimus jumps on it.

It’s like reverse evolution for transformers, when from 2 legs (or more – yes I’m talking about you Beatbox) , a transformer, transforms in to a robot with a single (not much of a good use/agility) wheel for legs. What is the other wheel on its head doing then? Counter attacks?  Unless those wheels can then transform into 2 or more legs (no – i mentioned you before Beatbox) and performs ultra cool moves!

That would be awesome. Hm, maybe i just gave an idea to the movie’s 3D modeler’s.

Or maybe the big question here really, is where did that huge motorbike came from? Maybe the government build it for military purposes heh?

Wicked.

Breaking the habit | Live Version Review

10 02 2009

Breaking the habitWho could ever forget a very different kind of song that was produced by Linkin Park. That’s right I’m talking about the one song that until now and for many years to come for me, would be one of the best songs Linkin Park has ever produced. It never gets old to hear and boosts my mood to the skies. “Breaking the habit”  is for me already a classic.

I came to write about this song, when it came to my attention the latest released Live album from Linkin Park “The Road to Revolution”. I was so excited when i heard back then that Linkin Park where making a Live album of their songs, and of course “Breaking the habit” was one of them, and i could not wait until i heard the released final version, since most live songs i heard from them where so cool.

But then the album came out, and i listened to my all time favorite track. I was so disappointed. No doubt about it, LP is my favourite band, and i love most of their songs, but what i was expecting from the live version of the song, had came true.

It could not possibly overcome the original album version, simply put because i think, the amount of voice and pitch used in the original, and sing strength, is at its best, and very high!

I found it awkward that not many info on this topic is available (or I did not find any at least). So open up your thoughts, is it me, or this wicked song is  just impossible to be sang live and surpass the original?

Lay it on me guys!
